About Us

Our story

Wild Things is delicated to peace and wellbeing for all humankind through service to community. The founders have been actively involved in wholefoods and organics since the mid 1980’s & at at Wild Things since opening in 2015.

Sustainability has been at the heart of Wild Things since long before its conception. From the beginning we wanted to do things right by the planet- from the goods we stock to the non-toxic paint on our walls.

Sustainability

We prioritise sustainable practices down to the nitty gritty. For the sake of transparency, here are some of the ways we reduce our environmental impact.

  • Our store is powered by our rooftop solar PV system and supplemented with externally sourced hydro power.

  • Our store was constructed using sustainable and ethical building materials.

  • We have strict recycling, plastic recycling and composting systems.

  • reduce waste where possible through bulk products.

  • We source locally where we can to reduce the emissions caused by long-distance transportation.

  • We stock mostly organic, biodynamic and fair-trade goods.

  • Our packaging is all biodegradable- from our bread bags to cafe cups and bulk packaging.

  • We continue to innovate- like our recent acquisition of a milk-tap, created by The Udder Way
